Membership Terms
These terms govern the membership relationship between EGA and its members. By activating a user account, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
1. Scope and Parties
These terms apply to the membership relationship between Estonian Gaming Association MTÜ (registry code 80673799, Ülikooli tn 2a, 51003 Tartu, Estonia; hereinafter EGA) and a member. A member is the company (operator) joining EGA together with its authorised representative who activates the member account.
These terms shall be read together with the EGA statutes, terms of use and privacy policy. In case of conflict, the EGA statutes prevail.
2. Joining
Joining takes place as follows:
- EGA sends an invitation to the operator’s representative, or the operator submits an application through the EGA portal;
- the representative activates a member account (sets a password) and gains access to the internal portal;
- the representative explores the EGA portal (during the trial period);
- the representative confirms membership in the EGA portal and selects a billing cycle.
Activating an account alone does not create a paid membership obligation — it grants portal access and starts the trial period. Member rights and obligations take full effect upon confirmation of membership.
3. Trial Period
After account activation, the member has a trial period (currently four (4) weeks) during which the EGA portal and its content may be explored without obligation. No membership fee applies during the trial period.
If the member does not confirm membership during the trial period, the account remains pending. The account may be reopened and membership confirmed at any time.
4. Formation of Membership
The operator becomes a member of EGA after submitting an application and after its review by the EGA board. The EGA board reviews applications within 3 business days as a rule (but no later than 30 days) and assesses the candidate’s reputation and compliance with the EGA terms and statutes.
5. Membership Fee and Billing
Membership becomes subject to a fee after the trial period. The membership fee applies according to the current rates displayed in the portal at the time of confirming membership. The member selects a suitable billing cycle in the portal.
The specific prices and billing terms are presented to the member in the portal at the membership confirmation step, and the current price list is available in the EGA portal at any time. Invoices are issued according to the selected cycle and payment is made within the term stated on the invoice.
6. Member Rights
EGA membership grants the following rights:
- access to the EGA portal and member materials;
- participation in EGA activities pursuant to the statutes (including voting rights at the general meeting and the right to stand for the board — to the extent of full membership);
- use of the EGA member logo in accordance with EGA guidelines;
- involvement in shaping EGA positions and in working groups as provided in the statutes.
7. Member Obligations
An EGA member is required to:
- provide and keep data truthful and up to date (about the company and the representative);
- pay the membership fee according to the selected billing cycle;
- use the EGA portal lawfully and not share access credentials with third parties;
- comply with the EGA statutes and good practice, and respect the rights of other members and third parties.
8. Personal Data
EGA processes the personal data of the member and its representative in accordance with the privacy policy and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Upon activating a member account, the representative consents to the processing of data for the purpose of managing the membership relationship.
9. Termination of Membership
A member may terminate membership in accordance with the EGA statutes by notifying the EGA board in writing. EGA may terminate or suspend membership on the grounds set out in the statutes (including failure to pay the membership fee or a material breach of the terms).
Upon termination of membership, access to the EGA portal ends. Personal data is retained in accordance with the privacy policy.
10. Changes to the Terms
EGA has the right to amend these terms at any time without prior notice. Changes take effect upon publication on the website. We may notify of significant changes separately.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Estonia. Disputes shall be resolved through negotiation or, failing agreement, in the Estonian courts.
